Standard Fix – Terms & Conditions

By using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services Provided

Standard Fix provides repair services for mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. Repairs may be completed:

  • In-store

  • Via mail-in service

  • Through on-site (come-to-you) service (where available)

2. Device Condition & Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for any pre-existing damage on their device before repair.

  • Standard Fix is not responsible for faults or damage that existed prior to service.

  • Devices will be returned in the same condition as received, excluding the repaired issue.

  • If any damage occurs due to our technician during repair, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

3. Customer-Caused Damage

  • Any damage caused by the customer after repair (including drops, liquid damage, or misuse) voids the warranty.

  • Warranty will not be accepted for devices damaged by the customer after service.

4. Warranty Coverage

Warranty applies only to the specific part repaired or replaced.

Mobile Phones

  • Screen: Lifetime warranty

  • Battery: 12 months

  • Small parts: 3 months

  • Liquid damage: No warranty

Tablets

  • Screen: 12 months

  • Battery: 12 months

  • Small parts: 12 months

  • Liquid damage: No warranty

Laptops

  • Screen: 12 months

  • Battery: 12 months

  • Small parts: 12 months

  • Liquid damage: No warranty

Warranty covers manufacturing or installation defects only.

5. Warranty Inspection & Diagnostic Fee

  • All warranty claims must be inspected at a Standard Fix Authorized Store.

  • A £20 diagnostic fee applies to all warranty inspections.

  • This fee is non-refundable, regardless of the inspection outcome.

6. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage or drops

  • Liquid or moisture damage

  • Misuse or negligence

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

7. Parts & Performance Notice

  • Replacement parts may be genuine or high-quality third-party, depending on availability and customer choice.

  • Some devices may display system messages such as “non-genuine part”, which does not affect performance or functionality.

8. Data Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for backing up their data before repair.

  • Standard Fix is not responsible for data loss during repair.

9. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required upon completion of repair.

  • Diagnostic or inspection fees are non-refundable.

  • Prices may vary based on device condition and required parts.

10. Refusal of Service

Standard Fix reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service for severely damaged devices

  • Decline repairs that pose safety or technical risks

  • Refuse service in cases of abusive or inappropriate behavior

11. Authorized Stores

  • Authorized Stores operate as independent businesses.

  • All repairs under Standard Fix authorization must follow Standard Fix policies and warranty terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

Standard Fix is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Delays caused by parts availability

  • Damage caused by customer misuse after repair

13. Changes to Terms

Standard Fix may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will be available in-store or on our website.
